near and far
I created this fun table for the shop because well, we needed one and I would rather DYE than spend $150 on a cheap ugly MDF Target creation! Suitcase: Goodwill, legs/hardware: Hardware store. We no longer have space for it at the shop, so it's up for sale!

More burlap goodness!
My cute little cap'n chairs are ready to set sail! Originally rescued from a yard sale I went DIY all over them with sandpaper, a fresh coat of paint and recycled burlap coffee sacks from a local roaster!
I'll be handing them over to a very excited customer this evening! She liked the idea of having them match, so I got them as close as I could. Pretty happy with the finished product.. Next up: footstools!

Work and Play
Warm outside, freezing inside.
Drinking: diet coke, of course.
Watching: "Pretty in Pink", next on the que: "Almost Famous" while editing.
Hubby: Playing tackle football.
Dog: Whining at me, expressing his need for a "W".
Taking a little break from editing.. thought I'd share one little project I'm in the middle of.
Earlier this summer Jess C. and I were out junkin' and spotted this hideous pair of black captain chairs with mauve floral upholstery. 5 bucks each? How 'bout two for $5. Done.
Now, I'm not usually the kind of girl to paint something then sand off the corners.. but this chair was in such bad shape I didn't really have a choice. So, a few cans of spray paint and recycled coffee sacks later:
