More burlap goodness!

My cute little cap'n chairs are ready to set sail! Originally rescued from a yard sale I went DIY all over them with sandpaper, a fresh coat of paint and recycled burlap coffee sacks from a local roaster!

I'll be handing them over to a very excited customer this evening! She liked the idea of having them match, so I got them as close as I could. Pretty happy with the finished product.. Next up: footstools!

  1. Hi! I am excited to see your post and love your chairs! I found your blog via a search on coffee bags.... I'm hoping you can help me solve a problem.... I am covering my kitchen chairs w/ coffee sacks (so excited) and I have a concern that the inks will transfer onto clothing (they do when rubbing my finger over the image). Did you set the ink somehow? Thanks for any advice =) Love your director chairs too!

  2. Hey Patty!

I've never had an issue with the inks rubbing off on clothing, but then again they don't get a whole lot of action. i might suggest trying to heat set it-
maybe do a few run throughs? Good luck! Let me know what you figure out! =)
